Scotland - Dunkeld to St Andrews

St Andrews Cathedral ruins are definitely worth a visit.  There are a number of religious buildings on this site including St Rule's Tower and St Mary's Church just outside the precinct wall. St Rule's Church was built here in the 1100s but a religious community was probably first located on this site in about 732AD.
